L’Arche means “the ark” in French. It was named hoping that it would be a safe place of belonging for all that came.

L’Arche is anticipated to be a home for life. Because of this, openings are rare. To learn more about the process, visit our Living at L’Arche page.

L’Arche was founded in the Catholic faith, but you do not have to be religious in order to be part of the community. We encourage our core members and assistants to strengthen their spirituality and live it according to their faith/tradition. L’Arche Cleveland is a very diverse community, and welcomes people of any faith, or none at all.
